This summer we have invited guest instructors to teach one-off classes. While all of the classes this month are related to connection and/or flow, each individual class will be separate / distinct from the others.
Momentous (& not) Occasions - With Gabi and Griffin - June 2nd
Learn to play with a broad dynamic range in your dancing. Can you speed it up? Slow it down? Make it big? Keep it subtle. Quick stop & continuous flow. Explore macro musicality and dynamic range.
Finding Your Flow - With Erica and Aidan - June 9th
Your favorite balboa dancers seem to float across the dance floor. One secret to achieving that look is they never stop! We’ll spend time smoothing out the endpoints of your toss-outs and out-and-ins.
Ebbs & Flows of Connection - With Elsa and Amy - June 16th
Join us on an exploration of partnership dynamics. We'll do exercises to explore how we communicate with each other, and find clarity in both our ability to listen and to initiate a movement.
I Swiveled Through the Grapevine - With Ron and Gabi - June 23rd
From promenade, the entrance to swivels and the entrance to grapevines can look and feel almost the same. Learn to differentiate the feeling and spontaneously piece together swivels, grapevines, lollies, and promenade in any order.
Pre-Reqs: Level 2 or equivalent
